Huge thanks to Ted Pilgrim and the Surfy Industries people for coming up with this amazing idea. The Fender Showman amplifier has always been the go-to “sound” for us surf guitar geeks. Surfy Industries have figured out a way to get the tube tones of the Showman with their new Surfy Man preamp pedal—but then they really kicked it into high gear with the matching Surfy Power power amp brick, which gives you 200 watts of power from a little brick that weighs just a couple of pounds! What a wonderful idea for not only surf guitar nerds, but anybody who wants that “big amp tube sound” in a little package.
Well designed, well made, and just a great idea. The folks at Surfy Industries are making great pedals. I’ve already been using their Surfy Bear Deluxe Reverb for a few years, and it’s the bomb. The best!
