RIP Marcos Elvis Elvis

Aug 23, 2026

I’m very sad to learn that my friend Marcos Elvis Elvis, the Spanish Elvis of La Mancha, passed away a couple days ago. I just met him in February of this year, but I’m so glad that I got to know him! What a character! Elvis Presley was his guiding star and Marcos turned everything—every square inch of his home, his lifestyle, his career, everything—into an Elvis homage. He was a true believer and I was happy to get to sing “Viva La Mancha” (our take on “Viva Las Vegas”) when I visited him.

For those who might think Marcos was a nut—yes, he was, in the very best way. He lived a wild lifestyle that none of us can even dream of. He achieved his dreams of becoming an Elvis tribute artist, married his dream woman (my condolences to his beloved wife of many years, Monica), and endured a lot of pushback from people who didn’t understand that HE WAS ON A MISSION FROM GOD. He was going to be the Elvis of La Mancha no matter what. A thousand steamrollers couldn’t have stopped him from being who he was. We need more people like Marcos Elvis Elvis.

Rest in peace, my friend. Condolences to his wife, Monica, and all of his family and friends. I’m so glad that I got to know you.
