Photo Session at Bob Shade’s

Jun 11, 2026

Complete sensory overload at Bob Shade’s for part two of the photo session today. Bob owns the Hallmark guitar brand name, but he also owns the world’s largest collection of original 1960s Hallmark Swept-Wing guitars. They only made forty of them between 1966 and 1968, and Bob owns twelve of them, almost 30 percent of the original production run. Mind blown. The clunky looking black Swept-Wing bass is actually a 1965 Encor Bass, the only known prototype of a pre-Hallmark brand made by Joe Hall with funding by Bob Bogle of the Ventures. The rare stuff is insanely rare, and seeing so much of it all at once is complete sensory overload.
