Another fun day photographing Mosrite items at Bob Shade’s house. Today was spent photographing small items and ephemera, such as original 1960s Mosrite bumper stickers, pickup parts (and Bill Gruggett’s and Joe Hall’s and Bob Shade’s pickup winders), tailpieces, a prototype Mosrite amp, and maybe my favorite thing…Semie Moseley’s original 1950s belt sander, the one he used to make all guitars by hand up until the factory got into full swing in the early 1960s. Around 1963 it came into the possession of Bill Gruggett, and Bob Shade got it from him. It is still covered with drips of the sunburst paint jobs, and can be seen in a 1958 shop photo with Semie Moseley. Amazing stuff!
