August 2026 T-Shirt Organization

Aug 8, 2026

Getting shirts ready for the tour! Everything in the T-shirt bins was in disarray, and I explained to Evelyn that at my last couple of gigs, there were some ladies tearing into my T-shirt bins like the SnackWell’s cookie ladies in the old SnackWell’s cookie commercials. Which of course led to a discussion about this, because she is too young to remember.

“You see, kid, they used to make these diet cookies, called SnackWell’s, and for a while people thought they tasted really good.

“In fact, the entire SnackWell’s advertising campaign was based around these large middle-aged women who would chase the SnackWell’s delivery man as he made a new delivery to the grocery store. They would all yell ‘COOKIE MAN!’ and then knock him and his display over while grabbing all the cookies he brought, leaving him and his shelving display in total disarray.”

Evelyn looked at me and said, “That’s not real,” and went back to folding shirts. Come to think of it, that was a really strange advertising campaign. And those cookies weren’t very good.

Frank Giffen, the fellow who is loaning us the van for this tour, stopped by to do a few tweaks and wound up working on boxing up T-shirts too! Truly above and beyond, Frank, thanks so much!

Now, when you see us on any of these shows on the next tour, just remember, the T-shirts are highly organized. Don’t think you can just reach in the box and start messing up my SnackWell’s display!!
