I was really bummed when Mojo Nixon died last week. I’m sure many of you felt the same way. The guy has always been a hero and inspiration to me. Friday I started watching a bunch of Mojo videos on YouTube and the idea came to me to do a tribute song. By Friday night it was written. Saturday I asked my neighbor and friend, X drumming legend DJ Bonebrake, to come over and record this song with me. Sunday I put together this video as a tribute to Mojo. Still can’t believe that he’s gone, but as the words of the song say, he can’t die if you REMEMBER MOJO NIXON!
I sent the song to Jeremy Tepper over at Sirius XM/Outlaw Country Radio and I think they’re going to give it a few spins. If you’re a radio DJ and you’d like an mp3 or WAV file of this song to play on the air, send me a direct message.
REMEMBER MOJO NIXON 1957–2024!
