Back at Hank Snow’s Rainbow Ranch

Dec 3, 2024

I am in Nashville for a couple days doing more research for the Mosrite book, and I was lucky enough to snag my favorite Airbnb in the whole country: Hank Snow’s Rainbow Ranch!

I’ve posted about this place before. It’s the house that Hank Snow lived in from the early 1950s until he died. It’s a pretty big piece of property for Nashville, and the owners have fixed it up exactly as it was back in Hank’s day, with his tour bus in the driveway, vintage furniture and decorations, and even the famous Rainbow Ranch barn on the back lot of the property that Hank took a lot of photos in front of for album covers and things. And if Hank Snow doesn’t impress you enough, Elvis Presley spent a lot of time here before his fame blew up. In 1955, Hank Snow managed Elvis for a time, and Elvis stayed here quite a bit during that time. He played the Baldwin Acrosonic piano that still sits in the living room. How cool is that?

You know, 99% of the time, I stay in pretty terrible motel rooms. But every now and then, I get to stay in a place like this and it’s just the greatest thing. Check it out online and book your own stay here!
