I am about to have a heart attack! I don’t know if I can stand this much excitement! A friend of mine and his buddies are staying at Hank Snow’s famous “Rainbow Ranch,” which is now open as a B&B. He asked if I wanted to stay there tonight with them, I couldn’t say yes fast enough! But the super bizarre thing is that they are out running around, so I just had to let myself in and give myself a tour by myself, after dark. It’s amazing!
Hank’s tour bus is parked in the back, if you walk down the path in the backyard, you get to the barn painted with the famous Rainbow Ranch sign. The entire house is pretty much original 1950s midcentury modern condition, with tons of knotty pine. But the best thing is the recording studio! Hank had a recording studio here at the house, there are lots of famous photos of him there. It’s still there, in remarkably original condition! If you know me, you know that I’m pretty much losing my mind right now. This is one of the coolest places I’ve ever seen!
